God ain't got no grandyoung'ns.
simplified profundity. See below

In other words, no one is a child of God simply because their parent is a Christian. God only has first generational children, through the gracious, atoning, miraculous, salvific work of regeneration (we must be born again, born of the Spirit, born of God). We are children of God by faith (Ga. 3:26).

A new and righteous relationship with God is transformation through regeneration (experiential new beginning), justification (legal reconciliation), sanctification (cleansing from sin in our actions, conscience, and nature), and edification (building up and growing in grace and knowledge), leading to resurrection and ultimately glorification.

8/04/26 BE VERY CAREFUL

8/04/26 BE VERY CAREFUL

It seems most people understand the Bible in the same way the six blind men of India understood the elephant.

This is what happens when you either have Romanism or Reformed Theology or any other man-made doctrine as your foundation, or if you reject sound Biblical teaching for any reason.

8/04/26 BEYOND THE LABEL

8/04/26 BEYOND THE LABEL

I love good watermelon, especially an ice-cold Bogue Sound watermelon. I love the crunchy texture that turns into icy sweet refreshment that restores and invigorates, especially when I am overheated and dehydrated.

I realize there must be Bogue Sound watermelons that are not good, but when they are good, they are very, very good.

Not everyone or everything with the label, "Christian" is what they should be, but when they are following Christ, they add to your life and lead you into Christlikeness.

We need to look beyond the label, the surface, the packaging. We need to know the substance. Wolves come in sheep's clothing; the devil comes as an angel of light. Pied Pipers not only draw people after themselves they draw the gullible away from the truth.

Concerning the goodness of God, we are told to "Taste and see that the Lord is good." When someone asked Jesus for information about Himself, He said, "Come and see."

Don't be fooled by the smoke and mirrors of charlatans. Remember, a label can be put on anything, but the proof of salvation is in seen in their likeness to Christ.

A deadly infection can come from an imperceptible scratch. (Physically, Relationally, Spiritually).

8/03/26 SUCCESSFUL JOURNEY

8/03/26 SUCCESSFUL JOURNEY

FOLLOW GOD'S WORD AND HIS SPIRIT FOR A SUCCESSFUL JOURNEY

The basic and normal (though rare) Christian "trip-tik" follows the following route.

Justification (forgiveness, reconciliation, regeneration).
Edification (growth in grace [called progressive sanctification]).
Evangelization (telling other people the good news).
Entire Sanctification (receiving the fullness of the Holy Spirit, which cleanses the believer from the Old Man [the sin nature]).
Edification (ongoing growth in grace).
Glorification (final victory over sin and death).

This is just a quick overview of God's plan for the life of a redeemed (saved) person. There are various terrains (deserts, mountains, plains, forests, rivers, and seas) as well as personal paths (relationships, trials, opportunities, obligations, missions, schoolings, and spiritual refreshings).

God includes our personal paths on our "trip-tik." He knows what is coming; He knows what we need; He knows the way of deliverance, and He gives us everything we need for life and godliness. But it is up to us to be aware of and alert to the specifics, the details of our journey. The closer we are to Him and the more faithful we are to His calling and leading, the more likely we are to know His will and to go in His direction.

If we get off course, God is ready, willing, and able to forgive, reconcile, and restore us. Those side trips will cost us, but God wants us to get back on course quickly and reclaim as much of our spiritual journey as we can and to reach His planned destination. But don't be presumptuous, and don't be negligent: don't lag behind, rush ahead or stray to the left or right. Faith and faithfulness to His leading is the surest way of victory in this life and to life everlasting.

Have a blessed trip.
