9/16/26 BEWARE THE OLD SERPENT
In reference to religion (belief in a specific supreme being, and a form of worship and service to that supreme being), the terms "Liberal" and "Modernist" have been applied to people who claim to be Christians for over a century, but they do not believe the Holy Bible (66 books) to be the only inerrant, infallible, revealed word of God.
These terms were very popular in the 1960s. The terms were used in this sense by Bible believers and by the very people who claimed to be Christians, though they openly disbelieved the Holy Bible.
I did not like the terms because the beliefs of the people, to whom these terms were applied were not actually "liberal" or "modern" (in the sense of recognizing the theological, historical, logical, linguistic, academic facts concerning the authority and accuracy of the Holy Bible). They were not open minded and honest or advanced. They spouted the same old, tired criticisms of The Holy Bible that had been around since the Garden of Eden.
The "Liberal" and "Modernist" were actually disbelievers, in other words, THEY WERE INFIDELS. And so, it is today. The person who wants to replace Divine revelation with humanism (or any other ism) is an infidel.
Disbelieving the Bible is demonstrated by adding to it or taking away from it. It is infidelity.
Infidelity existed in the Old Testament.
Infidelity was present during the days of Jesus' earthly ministry.
Infidelity was present during the Apostolic period.
Infidelity took major strides through the teachings Augustine and under the rule of Constantine.
Infidelity held a death grip on the Roman Church.
Infidelity morphed into sinning religion (in the name of Christianity) under the Reformers.
Infidelity has cloaked its cultic beliefs in Biblical names.
Infidelity parades itself as "New" or "Apostolic."
Infidelity turns away from Biblical, historic, Christocentric faith.
Infidelity is deception and corruption.
Infidelity accepts the teachings of men rather than the teachings of God.
Infidelity is doctrines of demons parading as the revelation of God.
Beware any religion that is built on the teachings of a man or men.
Beware sinning religion.
Beware anti-Semitism.
Beware polythyism.
Beware the lie that men can become gods.
Beware "ancient secrets" and "lost scriptures" and "new revelations."
The Liberal and the Modern views of Christianity are the old lies of Satan.
