God invites and enables; He does not force us to love and obey.
If we are forced, we do not really love, and if we do not really love, then obedience is not relational or worshipful, it is programmed or coerced.
God does seek people to save them from sin, and He seeks people to worship and serve Him in spirit and in truth. God does not seek people to force them into loving and serving Him. Forced love is not love. God seeks people who willingly believe, trust, submit and serve Him. This is true love and worship.
How pitiful a god must be if he/she/it resorts to forcing creatures to love and obey.
God will draw the sinner to Himself, but if the sinner refuses to surrender to God's kindness, God will apply pressure to drive the sinner to repentance. Still, God does not force us to respond with faith or love. Once the sinner sees the futility of his way and actually is sorrowful for his sin, he will come into a love and trust relationship with God.
Fellowship with God and with one another is not a warehousing of robots or zombies, it is the gathering of willful, loving, trusting family. This is salvation.
Heaven will not be populated with mindless, soulless machines or forced laborers, but with God's loving and loyal family, serving Him gladly and being cared for by His loving kindness.
